Halloween Books for Kids

ree

Halloween is a festive part of the fall season. Aside from costumes and candy, Halloween-themed picture books are a way to incorporate speech and language goals at home. Families can practice speech sounds, sequence events, and answer questions during the story.

Below are suggestions of Halloween books. Happy reading!

  • “The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything,” by Linda Williams

  • “Room on the Broom,” by Julia Donaldson

  • “There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bat,” by Lucille Colandro

  • “Skeleton Hiccups,” by Margery Cuyler
