Should Kids Stop Using a Sippy Cup?


Does your toddler or preschooler want to drink from a sippy cup? Did you know sippy cups can negatively impact swallowing and speech skills?


After 12 months of age, it is important to work to transition children to straw cups and open cups. For families worried about spilled drinks, a water bottle with a straw is recommended. If you are concerned about your child’s swallowing and speech skills, reach out to a speech therapist today.
