Valentine’s Day Book List + Extension Activities

Valentine’s Day is a fun way to target speech and language goals. Families can talk about ways to show we care, kindness, and traditions. Following reading, consider making a card or decorating a heart, both of which can incorporate verbs and following 1-2 step directions.

  • “Happy Valentine’s Day, Mouse,” by Laura Numeroff

  • “Little Blue Truck’s Valentine’s Day,” by Alice Schertle

  • “Love Is”, by Diane Adams
